Dr. Huynh is a Site Investigator for the Microtransitions in Care Lab. She completed undergraduate studies at Tulane University before returning to her home state of Texas, where she graduated from medical school and completed Internal Medicine residency and a chief residency year at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She then pursued additional training in Geriatric Medicine, attending a two year fellowship with a focus on clinician education at Harvard University’s multi-campus program.
After completing her training, she came to Baylor Scott & White Health in 2012, where she enjoys practicing outpatient medicine and longitudinal physician-patient relationships, not just in clinic but also in the post-acute and long-term care settings. Dr. Huynh remains actively involved in teaching graduate medical learners across these clinical settings. Additionally, she is a Certified Medical Director and serves as the medical director of the William R Courtney Texas State Veterans Home.
