Apply To Be A Research Assistant

Research Assistant Positions for Masters Students, Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows

The Microtransitions Lab offers paid and volunteer Research Assistant positions to Masters students, medical students, residents, and fellows. Paid positions tend to be limited in number, compared to volunteer positions. Research Assistants must be enrolled in a college or university in the U.S. to participate in the lab. Graduate Research Assistants are expected to devote a minimum of 5 hours per week to the lab, depending on their assigned project(s) and paid/unpaid status. New Research Assistants are paired with an experienced team member who will supervise them on an existing project. Students may be required to attend weekly lab meetings.

Learner-led Research

We value the professional and research development of our Research Assistants. After 1-2 semesters in the lab, highly motivated learners are welcome to develop a learner-initiated research project related to the lab’s focus, under the mentorship and guidance of the lab PIs. Those who take leadership roles on projects may have the opportunity to present at conferences or author study manuscripts as well.
