​Biography:​ I’m currently in a program to pursue a DPT and was drawn to the lab because it highlights the importance and explores the small logistical issues that may occur while transitioning from one facility to another and the impact it has on the outcome of patient care. In the lab, I am part of the systematic review project where I screen abstracts of relevant articles and papers to ensure they fit the established inclusion criteria and objectives of the study and extract necessary data. I’m also a part of the prospective cohort study where I review patient demographics and clinical charts to compile patient baseline information, or look at any orders or communication that happened between the nursing home and specialty clinic around the time of the patients’ visit.
