​Biography:​ I was initially drawn to the Microtransitions in Care Lab because I really connected with its mission to improve the safety and design of outings for the elderly. I am currently involved in the prospective cohort study, where I review medical charts to look for patterns in communication gaps between physicians and nursing home staff, and I track any adverse events that happen within 72 hours of their return. As an aspiring dentist who hopes to one day open a private practice, I think it’s important to understand geriatric care and the access disparities that one may face. I hope that learning about these challenges will allow me to provide more thoughtful and inclusive care in the future.
